BENEFITS FOR FAMILIES
Give the benefits
of early language learning to your children!
Providing your children with exposure to other
languages and cultures at an early age is one of the greatest
gifts you can give. Among the most important benefits is
that children will gain an ability to understand and communicate
with people from different cultures and countries.
In addition, there have been numerous studies and evidence
on the academic and cognitive benefits of early language
learning, suggesting the following:
- Children who learn second languages are more creative
and better at solving complex problems.
- Students of foreign languages score statistically higher
on standardized tests conducted in English.
- Children who learn a second language at a young age develop
the ability to speak with native proficiency.
- Foreign language study sharpens memory and listening
skills.
All of our books are bilingual so you can read them in English
or in any one of up to 40 languages, thereby aiding in language
learning efforts.
Raise kids who will succeed in our diverse
communities and world!
Young people who can speak foreign languages
and are able to understand and connect with other cultures
have access to more job opportunities. Creating youngsters
who have this “competitive advantage” will
also improve global communication. Over 20% of the US population is either foreign-born
or has a foreign-born parent. The Census Bureau estimates
that by the end of the 21st century, minorities will represent
more than half of the total population. And, as technology
continues to improve the ease of global communications,
the world is becoming increasingly interdependent. All
this points to our responsibility, as parents and grandparents,
to develop both an awareness of and a tolerance for other
cultures among the next generation. We aim to support you in your effort to raise
children who can succeed in our diverse world. Our stories
celebrate diversity and provide an enjoyable way for children
to learn about other cultures and traditions.
Preserve your Heritage!

parents and grandparents find that our products provide

they learn)!

FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS AMONG PARENTS:
How do I use a “dual language” text?
Your options are greater
with a dual-language text than a single-language text.
You
can choose to read the stories only in the foreign language,
only in English,
or you can read both language versions and watch your
children as they gradually “pick up” new
words and phrases.
The stories and illustrations
are so fantastic that your kids will want to hear the
stories over and over, providing you with many ways for
them to enjoy the books.
Please see the article "10 Ways to Use Bilingual Books with Children" for more information on using dual language books.

CDs by looking at the “related products” section
in the description of an individual title.
