The Census Bureau estimates that by the end of the 21st century, minorities will represent more than half of the total population. And, as technology continues to improve the ease of global communications, the world is becoming increasingly interdependent. All this points to our responsibility, as parents and grandparents, to develop both an awareness of and a tolerance for other cultures among the next generation.

How do I use a “dual language” text?

Your options are greater with a dual-language text than a single-language text.

You can choose to read the stories only in the foreign language, only in English, or you can read both language versions and watch your children as they gradually “pick up” new words and phrases.

The stories and illustrations are so fantastic that your kids will want to hear the stories over and over, providing you with many ways for them to enjoy the books.

I’d like to expose my students to languages that I cannot speak.
How can I do this?

All of our books are in English and up to 40 other languages. Many of our books come with accompanying CDs, so you and your children can hear the stories read in other languages, including both popular and less commonly taught languages. You will be able to find out which products have accompanying CDs by looking at the “related products” section in the description of an individual title.

What is the target age for the products?

Generally ages 1-12. Specific age ranges will be included in the descriptions of each product.
